Michelin is renewing its contract with Logica for all application
projects in the fields of CRM, Supply Chain and Corporate Finance.
Symbolised by the establishment of an innovative co-management model,
this agreement unites Michelin and Logica closely around joint business
objectives and extends the special relationship developed over the
previous three years.
The contract, worth several tens of millions of euros, commits
Michelin and Logica over the next 3 years. This agreement is intended to
continue the implementation of global solutions and to consolidate the
positions gained in operational efficiency, responsiveness and
flexibility of its information systems, at the best price.
One of the biggest invitations to tender in the last 5 years
In 2008, Michelin unveiled its Convergence project, estimated at 300
million Euros over 3 years. Logica became its benchmark partner for all
application projects in the fields of Group Reporting Finance and
Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Marketing and Sales and Commercial
Management in Europe and North America. For each field, this agreement
included roles in consulting, systems integration, support and
maintenance.
Co-management, an innovative principle providing the best response to our customers' business issues
The new agreement announced today plans a continuation of the
co-management model introduced through the initial contract. Aiming to
align Logica performance with the business objectives of Michelin, it
leads to an original organisational structure symbolised by
customer/supplier mixed partnerships - a made-to-measure and proven
co-management structure.
Jean-Marc Lazzari, CEO of Logica France, commented:
"Michelin is renewing its trust in us. This reinforces our vision of
the relationships we want to develop with our customers. As partners for
25 years, we have together been able to create the innovative
co-management formula. We firmly believe in it. It will guide our action
aimed at strengthening Michelin's position as leader in the industrial
market."
